workshop: WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR VULVA

Through theatre and meditation exercises the participants will get the opportunity to get in contact with their relationship with their own sex and their feelings around it.

We wish to create a safe space in which participants can achieve contact with their personal experiences at their own rhythm and in a playful way.

As part of the workshop participants will be asked to write a letter to their vulva, in which they can express different feelings, such as longing, neglect, appreciation and praise. We end the workshop by collecting the letters (from those who wish to donate a copy of their letter to the project) and it is those letters that serve as the research material for our theatre performance. In this way, the workshop participants become part of a collective history writing, with the vulva in focus.

The workshop is for women, non-binary and trans people, all that share the common experience of having a vulva or identifying with having one.

So far we have held workshops at different venues in Copenhagen (Denmark) and Malmö (Sweden), and together with the organization Mi Cuerpo/Min Krop in Colombia. The workshops have been held for different age-groups.

Are you interested in arranging a workshop in your cultural institution, high school, library, festival or at your home? Do not hesitate to contact us to know more.
